A vibrant dish of Sautéed Tenderstem Broccoli with a Sweet Chilli Glaze, cherry tomatoes and shallots, finished with a glossy sweet chilli glaze and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. This quick and easy recipe is perfect as a healthy side dish or a light meal.

Ingredients

  • 200g Tenderstem Broccoli

  • 500g Cherry Tomatoes

  • 1 Shallot

  • 4 Tbsp Sweet Chilli Sauce

  • 2 Tbsp Fish Sauce

  • 1 Tbsp Tabasco

  • 1 Tsp Paprika

  • 1 Tsp Chilli Powder

  • 1 Tsp Turmeric

  • Sesame Seeds

  • Salted Butter

Directions

  • Begin by chopping the cherry tomatoes into quarters and dicing the shallots.
  • Slice the tenderstem broccoli in half for easier cooking.
  • Heat a generous amount of butter in a large pan over medium heat. Once the butter has melted, add the diced shallots, cherry tomatoes, and sliced tenderstem broccoli to the pan. Allow the vegetables to sauté for about 5 minutes, letting them break down and soften.
  • Add the sweet chilli sauce, fish sauce, Tabasco, paprika, chilli powder, and turmeric to the pan. Stir everything together, ensuring the vegetables are well coated with the spices and sauce. Continue to cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavours to meld and the glaze to thicken slightly.
  • Once the glaze has thickened to your liking, remove the pan from the heat.
  • To serve, sprinkle sesame seeds over the top as a garnish and enjoy!

Notes

  • For an extra burst of flavour, you can add garlic along with the shallots in step 3.
  • Cover with a lid while cooking to speed up the sauté process.
