Experience the creamy, rich taste of authentic Vietnamese egg coffee with this easy recipe! Combining bold coffee with a sweet, velvety egg foam, this indulgent drink is perfect for coffee lovers seeking something unique. Inspired by traditional Vietnamese flavours, it’s a must-try for your next coffee break!

Ingredients

  • 2 Large Egg Yolks

  • 2 Tablespoons Sweetened Condense Milk

  • Freshly Brewed Strong Coffee

Directions

  • Prepare a small cup of strong coffee
  • In a bowl, combine the egg yolks and sweetened condensed milk. Using an electric mixer or whisk, beat the mixture until it becomes thick, pale, and frothy (about 3-5 minutes).
  • Pour the brewed coffee into a small glass or cup.
  • Gently spoon the whipped egg mixture on top of the hot coffee and serve immediately

Notes

  • Espresso is a great coffee option for this recipe, as its bold flavour pairs perfectly with the creamy, sweet egg foam.
  • If you have a jet flame lighter available, lightly caramelise the surface of the egg foam for an extra layer of flavour and a beautiful golden finish. It adds a subtle sweetness and an impressive touch to your egg coffee!
  • For a refreshing twist, feel free to add ice to your glass if you prefer your egg coffee cold. This creates a deliciously chilled beverage that’s perfect for warm days while still delivering that creamy, rich flavour!
